Fashion Catwalks Show you that Pearls are Cool

22nd March 2016 by PearlsbyFleur Leave a Comment

When you hear the word “pearl” , chances are you have a very specific mental image in your mind. It may be the classic string of pearls that your grannie or auntie used to wear or the preferred gem of the preppies. Well, the high fashion catwalks this year have been hell bent on turning that image around for the next generation .

The fashion shows may be at the end for this year, but I have  scoured the international  fashion weeks looking to catch a glimpse of the pearl gem on the international catwalk. And I haven’t had to look hard.

THE PEARL TREND WILL BE A STRONG FEATURE  FOR NEXT YEAR

Thank you to Paris Fashion Week  for proving that pearl jewellery  is  still very much in vogue.

A classic pearl necklace made its appearance at Rag and Bone coupled with their uber street cool biker jacket. proving that pearl jewellery doesn’t have to be stuffy, in fact, it is sexy! It feels like Rag and Bone have given pearls a functionality – you need your pearls, your jacket and your bike to get to work. And best of all the Rag and Bone label was started by two British boarding school boys in 20012. Now one of the hippest brands in New York City and loved by A listers everywhere.

New York Fashion Week and Pearls

Then came the madness of New York Fashion week and it wasn’t so much on the catwalk but off the catwalk on the front row that pearls hit the headlines.

The whole Kardashian – Jenner clan were decked out in matching white pearl outfits. They all rocked Balmain for Yeezy pearl  dresses with heavy beading. They were put together in just 5 days – wow, that must have been full on!

pearls, Balmain, kendal, Jenner, fashion week

(Image daily Mail and Shutterstock)

I think the result is total knockout! Although I am sure some will disagree! There is nothing like keeping it in the family! Way to go! Totally jealous- so if you are thinking of making me one of those exclusive pearl dresses, please go ahead!

Pearl Designers

And onto our very own eclectic London Fashion Week and a new, hip venue. Don’t you think the venue is totally fab, cool and has a real industrial vibe going on.

Lets not forget that LFW is also about designers showing their wares. Swamped with new and up and coming jewellery designers like Ruth Tomlinson and Phoebe Coleman showing us that pearls are fun, stylish and uber contemporary, a far cry from your grandmas old pearl necklace!

The Oscars

To add to the amazing fashion calendar is the Oscars and this year was no exception. I couldn’t take my eyes off Whoopi Goldberg’ s amazing baroque pearl octopus bracelet. And proving that pearls really can be forward thinking in their design. It has a very baroque feel in the way it uses the pearl as the focus of the piece. It was designed by Turkish designer    And a total show stopper that everyone is talking about.

whoopi goldberg wearing pearl bracelet,

And lets not forget the guys!

Real men do wear pearl jewellery. At the pre Oscar Chanel party Pharrell Williams wore an 18 karat white gold , diamond and pearls Chanel necklace ! I always wear pearls he declared! This is pearls with real street style.

Whatever vibe you rock with your  pearls, they will always remain stylish and gorgeous.  The romance of pearls never dies. There is still, and will always be something miraculous about pearls. After all, they are nature’s own organic miracle!  Here’s hoping for another great year for  pearls!

How to Look Amazing with Your Wedding Pearls

27th February 2016 by PearlsbyFleur Leave a Comment

So you have the basic idea of what you want for your wedding dress? But what comes next? Your stunning wedding pearls of course! They are THE only choice of accessory to wear at your wedding and a sure fire way to look stylish. Pearls validate that you are growing up and getting married.

Ok now the point of your wedding pearls is not to flaunt them and let them outshine you! They will ADD to your  style on your big day.  Here’s a few things to ponder when you are deciding.

  1. Keep it Simple when it comes to your Wedding Pearls

Sometimes choosing your wedding pearls may prove difficult and it shouldn’t be- it should be exciting and fun. We suggest you should keep it simple and unfussy. But we don’t mean boring! For your wedding you can always go for an ever stunning pearl combo – pair your drop pearl earrings with a sophisticated pearl necklace, or if your wedding dress has a detailed or statement  neckline opt for a pearl bracelet instead. You don’t need to scare your bank manager with your new pearls- spend the money on your dress. Our latest in our line-up of pearl delight drop earrings come in at £24 (don’t tell your friends!). Let them think they are expensive!

  1. Match the Colour of your Dress With Your Pearls

You have found the perfect dress and now you are looking for the perfect colour match for your wedding pearls. There are thousands of shades, colours and hues of pearls to choose from.

White Pearls – If you have a brilliant white wedding gown plump for a platinum shade of pearl to match. Stay with the tried and tested formulae as any other bright or flashy colours may take away from your gorgeous wedding gown and you want to keep the attention on you and your beautiful wedding dress! Try these delightful earrings with an extra sparkle of shimmering cubic zirconia.

Gold Pearls – If you have an ivory wedding gown add subtle gold pearl jewellery with your wedding dress. The gold pearls will highlight and glisten with the golden undertones of your gorgeous wedding dress.

Gold/Silver/Rose-Gold and Ivory Pearls – If your wedding dress is diamond white, although many colours of pearl jewellery can suit this type of wedding dress, make sure to keep your pearl jewellery simple; this type of wedding gown is generally slightly off white and will look smoking hot with our Lucy Q Pearl Drip Hug Necklace.  If you have olive skin try the rose gold vermeil option. It is a stunning timeless pearl necklace with a subtle twist on a classic. Showcasing 5 lustrous pearls encased in a three bar cage crafted from 18 ct rose gold vermeil. Finished off with a finer chain threaded through the five cages. Wow, that’s what I call stunning!

Pastel Coloured Pearls

If you are opting for a pastel coloured wedding dress in a lavender or peach, choose a modern pearl colour to coordinate. The hues of peach, pink and luscious lavender pearls are totally divine. These pastel tones suit all skin tones and will enhance your radiant glow on your wedding day.  If you feel like an accent of peach or soft pink, just opt for one coloured pearl bracelet and then match with white or creamy pearl necklace and earrings.

If you are opting for a unique look on your wedding day with a coloured wedding dress, opt for subtle white or ivory pearl jewellery as to not over do things and to keep the attention on you for your big day.

  1. Change your Pearl Jewellery for your Reception

Now is the time to ramp up your style and Red Carpet glamour. Don’t be afraid to take a risk! It’s your night and if you feel like showing off- go for it! Why not bring a little of your personal style and statement to your evening attire.

This is a great opportunity on your wedding day to wear your statement pearl necklace or to show off your sexy, dangling pearl earrings. Get your new husband a little hot under the collar with these hot drop pearls earrings. And wait for admiring glances and compliments!

5 Reasons Why Investment Pearl Jewellery Are Better than Throwaway Fashion

15th February 2016 by PearlsbyFleur Leave a Comment

Buying the fast fashion jewellery is not necessarily the ideal thing to buy when you consider the benefits of buying  pearl jewellery. Here are our top 5 Reasons why you should invest in pearl jewellery:

  1. Quality Pearl Jewellery vs Quantity Throwaway  Jewellery

Pearl jewellery– whether it is classic pearl  jewellery or contemporary pearl jewellery it is built to last. Pearl jewellery may be more expensive to begin with, but it is false economy buying lots of fashion jewellery.  Generally, pearl jewellery is made from higher quality materials and will last you a lifetime! And you can even keep it and hand it down to become a family heirloom. Who knows in the future it may increase in value! Although I think what is more important than price is the story behind each purchase of  pearl jewellery. There is normally an emotional journey and special reason to buy pearls. Was it your birthday or your big wedding day? It often signifies a  a special time in your life. Throwaway fashion is just a quick buzz with immediate retail gratification.

2. Support the Pearl Industry and the Independent Designer

Buying a pearl necklace or pearl earrings from an independent designer is helping to support our pearl industry and the individual, independent designer. Support your local pearl designer and it will benefit them personally and increase their success and profits. We say, don’t increase the profits of the mass high street stores. After all,  it is these guys that rip off the designers original ideas and designs!  Most of the mass produced fast fashion is made in the Far East- support British manufacturing by buying from your quality local supplier.

3. Pearl Jewellery is Classic with Timeless Appeal

Pearl jewellery screams style and glamour. The most glamorous and powerful women in history have worn pearls through  out history. From royalty to politicians and celebrities, they all love their beautiful pearls. Pearls will never date- their design may change but they will always be used in jewellery in new and innovative ways. They suit all ages from the young cool lady to the older, more mature glamorous woman. And they are always appropriate whatever the occasion. Fast fashion jewellery is not always the most appropriate choice when you want your style and your wardrobe to reflect your position at work.

4. Pearls are Always Appropriate

Whenever you don’t know what to wear to your amazing evening out,  job interview or when you are giving that all important business presentation – what will you choose to wear? Pearl jewellery of course! Pearls are always appropriate whatever the occasion. Fast fashion jewellery is not always the best choice when you want your style and your wardrobe to reflect your professional image at work. A style consultant will always recommend you invest in the  the best quality you can afford. And if you feel confident everything you do is a million times easier. Wear a lustrous pearl necklace and earrings and wait for the admiring glances!

5. It is Better for the Environment

Perhaps THE most important reason for buying jewellery that will last and not end up in a landfill site is way better for the environment. We are all conscious of helping the environment with recycling,  eating organic food, using bio fuel, electric cars (well ok soon), low energy light bulbs, solar power and the list goes on.  Think of the global ecosystem and our carbon emissions. Often throwaway fashion is made from low quality plastic and materials that can damage our environment.  Pearls (whether natural or cultured) are organic gems, even better buy pearl jewellery from eco pearl suppliers or fair trade jewellers and designers. It has to be the way forward to protect our planet.

So the next time you go to a large chain store to buy a necklace , think  about the world we live in!  Do you really need it? Was the planet harmed to make it? who made it? (is it from a sweat shop where the workers are exploited?) Has the environment been damaged in producing this ? or is it fair trade? Do you know where your jewellery has come from?

I am pleased to say here at Pearls By Fleur we support fair trade and local British designers. Be fair, shop fair trade.

Have a look at our fab pearl collections! Please let us know if you love them.

How to Avoid Buying Fake Pearls

2nd February 2016 by PearlsbyFleur Leave a Comment

Have you ever been duped into buying fake pearls? It is something which I guess can happen, especially with buying pearl jewellery. So here is my short guide with tips on how to avoid buying fake pearls.

Going shopping to buy pearl jewellery is a very special, exciting and personal experience- and it should be really enjoyable. I think it is always best to take someone with you when you go out to spend your hard earned money! Better still get your husband/partner/mum or friend to buy them for you. If you are getting them as a present , you are very lucky! Go out with a budget in mind to prevent you from maxing out your credit card. Also decide on the variety and style of pearl jewellery you are looking for.
There is no getting away from it, buying pearls on line ( or in store) can be confusing, especially if you are presented with so many different styles and varieties of pearl jewellery.

Tips for Buying Pearls

Whether you want a pearl necklace or earrings, modern pearl necklace or classic pearl studs? The rules are the same and proceed with care!

1. So my first tip is buy from a reputable source, shop or known on line jeweller. Look out for membership to the British Pearl Association.  That way you have some come back and you know they are a trusted source. You could even ask for a certificate of authenticity from the seller . Do your research, there are so many different varieties and styles of pearl jewellery.

fake pearls, pearls, pearls by fleur, real pearls,

How to Tell If a Pearl is Real

2.  If buying from a physical store then it makes it much easier.  The easiest way to check if they are real is to rub the pearl across your teeth. Does the pearl feel gritty? Like a stone? Then it is real. Fake pearls do not feel gritty, they will be made from plastic or acrylic and therefore they won’t feel gritty.

3. Also focus on bumps and marks on the surface.  The real thing ( unless they are hugely expensive !) will have bumps, marks, scratches on the surface. They are cultivated and at the end of the day, produced naturally by the mollusc and a dead give away that they are the real thing. Fake ones will be perfectly smooth with no marks or bumps!

4. The shape can also be a give away.  A fake (faux) pearl will be manufactured in a factory and more likely to be produced perfectly round and smooth.

5. It is impossible to tell from the naked eye ( unless you are a complete expert) whether the pearls are natural or cultured- TIP –  gauge this through the price of the pearls. Natural pearls are much more expensive than cultured pearls. Ask your jeweller if it is not clear when you are buying them. Rule of thumb- if it does not say they are natural or cultured, assume they are cultured!

reas by fleur, real pearls, pearls, pearl

6. If you do buy a pearl necklace ( online) and you think it’s fake, to be certain take it to your local quality jeweller and ask them to check. Then go back to the place you bought it from and get your money back. On-line purchases are covered by distance selling regulations and shops are legally obliged to refund your pearl item for up to 14 days from purchase.  Always check the terms and conditions of your sellers website.

7. Be aware of cheap pearls that seem to good to be true, for example a “Tahitian ” pearl necklace for £50. Chances are they are real pearls but not real Tahitian pearls. They are more likely to be the freshwater variety that have been dyed or stained  black. Some E Bay sellers are guilty of this- whether knowingly or unknowingly they are selling freshwater black pearls as Tahitian pearls.

7. The British Pearl Association offers advice and information about buying pearls for consumers. Check out their website for advice if you are unsure. www.britishpearlassociation.com

Enjoy wearing your pearls and don’t forget to wear them often, as they do suffer from neglect. If you think this blog has been useful to you, please share or leave a comment now. We want yo hear your stories. Have you been duped into buying fake pearls? info@pearlsbyfleur.co.uk

How I Found Love for Pearl Jewellery

26th January 2016 by PearlsbyFleur Leave a Comment

Pearl jewellery was my first love- before my insane crush on any pop stars or Donny Osmond! I found my love for pearl jewellery at a young age.I wanted to share with you my story about my life long love affair with pearls and why I do what I do.

My Lifelong Love for Pearl Jewellery

I was 8 years old when I saw my first pearl necklace. It was amist my Mum’s jewellery collection in her secret compartment of her ornate dressing table.
That beautiful, hot  Summer of 1976, I was annoying my mum that  particular day and in her attempt to get me out from under her feet, she took me upstairs into her special bedroom and showed me her very first piece of pearl jewellery- a pearl necklace. It was given to her by her great grandmother on her 10th birthday and here my mum was showing it to me.  I was so excited to be wearing something so beautiful and elegant. I never took it off and here I am wearing it below on my holidays. I still wear it today and it reminds me of all the things I love in life: my mum, my family and pearls! I will hand it down to my niece when she turns 10.

Pearls as Family Heirlooms

I think that’s what pearls should be- family heirlooms and something you can hold dear to you and pass down to your children. That doesn’t mean to say pearls can’t be cool and modern. They can be; but they should be treasured and most importantly they should be worn.

I don’t keep my pearl jewellery for best, do you? You know pearls suffer from neglect if they aren’t worn. Their colour and lustre goes dull  and I think that is THE best excuse to wear them daily.

In fact, I am one of those people who lives in the moment- the wear it now moment. Who knows what will happen tomorrow ?

Cool and Contemporary Pearls

My love, passion and desire for pearl jewellery never dies. There is always something new with pearls. Pearl designs have changed over the decades as fashion has changed. And designers continue to strive with designing new and innovative pearl jewellery. Sometimes using rare pearls or different shaped pearls in their natural, organic form. Whereas  Melanie Georgacouplus has created a faceted pearl collection (see below)

pearl jewellery, faceted pearls, pearls by fleur,

Ornella Ianuzzi, an award winning designer,  has created the most amazing pearl ring (see below) using a baroque shaped pearl from Arabia. It show s the flexibility of working and designing with pearls and looks stunning.

I have recently hound ripple pearls and have totally fallen in love with their shape, colours, their size and their metallic lustre. They can grow to this huge size because they are bead nucleated. Total statement pearl jewellery.

What do you think of this amazing ripple  pearl necklace? Available from www.pearlescence.co.uk

Celebs Who Love Pearl Drop Earrings

16th January 2016 by PearlsbyFleur Leave a Comment

From the 1950’s , celebs, Royalty and movie stars have always loved to wear pearls. Pearl drop earrings are now becoming the go-to pearl choice for any of these glamorous women. Through the decades our celebs show that pearl drop earrings are classic and fashionable throughout any era.

  • Elizabeth Taylor Wearing Pearl Drop Earrings

The 1950s was a very glamorous and lavish decade. The likes of Elizabeth Taylor was one of those uber glamour and beautiful women that loved to wear pearls. Fashion designers and leading jewellery designers were making more use of pealrs in their fashion collections. Elizabeth Taylor loved the elegant aesthestic of her pearl drop earrings. She was also known for her extensive pearl jewellery collection and her stunning good looks. She was given the very famous La Peregrina by Richard Burton as a Valentines present.  In 1973 she wore the most exquisite Bulgari pearl drop earrings in the film Ash Wednesday.  She loved to dress up and for me, she will always be remembered for her seductive demeanour.

  • Duchess of Cambridge Pearl Drop Earrings

The Duchess of Cambridge is a style ambassador and whatever she wears is certainly a hit with us. The Duchess of Cambridge does not leave her pearls for best, she wears them often. Thus reflecting their versatility and wearability. Her trademark style is  simplicity and elegance : she often wears only a pair of earrings or a necklace- but for her day wear we hardly ever see her wearing both.  The Duchess of Cambridge is also a fan of imitation pearls.  She loves to fix her hair up to show off her pearl earrings (as seen below).

  • Angelina Jolie Wearing Pearls

Angelina Jolie is graceful and elegant and enjoys to look highly feminine when on camera. Here we see her wearing pearls in 3 different ways: with her hair in an elegant up-do for the evening, in a relaxed mode with tousled hair and finally wearing pearls with a more business like, smart look.  Even though all three looks are different, they represent her femininity and understated elegance. We love her beauty and her strong business acumen. I think she likes to project this through her sense of style and grown up glamour.

Rihanna Rocking Pearl Drop Earrings

By stark contrast to Angelina Jolie, Rihanna is fashion forward, unique and anything but classic in her fashion style. She reflects the contemporary and modern wearer of pearls- one that we embrace here at Pearls By Fleur. Pearls do not have to be traditional or old fashioned. Today,  designs of pearl drop earrings are endless and highly innovative. Leading designer fashion houses and leading jewellery designers began to use pearls for the front and back of the pearl earring. Here we can see Rihanna totally rocking the “tribal ” Dior earring.

I know Valentines’ Day is a commercial enterprise now, but us women still expect to be spoilt! So if you want to be in the good books for the rest of the year make sure she feels that you have really thought about her Valentines’ gift.
Say I love you with pearls and seduce her with champagne and delicate pearls!

1.Pearls Symbolise Love

Pearls are romantic and are a symbol of endearing love and ever lasting love. Hence why brides often wear pearls on their wedding day.

2. Pearls Symbolise Beauty

They really are the oldest of mother natures’ gems and by definition totally organic. Once you fall in love with pearls you will have a lifelong love with their beauty. I think pearls are beautiful- just like all women. When you wear pearls they make you feel beautiful and glamorous.

The production of pearls is a biological and organic process that actually occurs as the oysters way of protecting itself from foreign substances. Each pearl is formed without the need for polishing, cutting, dyeing or bleaching- they really are beautiful and unique just as they are.

3. Pearls are Versatile

Just how versatile are pearls?

  • You can wear pearls to work.  Pearls are the ultimate work accessory. Impress your colleagues and the boss and set the style agenda. • You can wear pearls on your holidays!  In search of winter sun? Pearl earrings are the ultimate accessory for your holiday wardrobe to Capri or Miami. Don a chic pair of round sunglasses, a scarf and pair of our classic Lily pearl studs and let your hair blow in the wind as you pretend to be a sexy  Bond girl.

  • You can even wear pearl earrings to the gym. Sporty Spice up your work out style with discreet pair of pearl studs. A pearl necklace is not appropriate, as pearls do not like to be covered in perspiration! Nevertheless, who says a trip to the gym shouldn’t be glamorous? Tie your hair your back and add the classic Lily pearl stud for a stylish workout.

4. Popularity of Pearls

Pearls have always been prized and in worn by royalty through the ages. The present Royal family are rarely seen without their pearls.

5. Pearls are Affordable

I think there is a general view that pearls are expensive. This is simply NOT the case. AAgreeed some pearls are expensive, for example if you want a gorgeous gold south sea pearl necklace then don’t expect any change out of £20,000. However, if you want a freshwater or akoya pearl necklace, then it is possible to get a lovely quality pearl with nice lustre for £100!  The Kelly Pearl necklace would make a perfect Valentine’s gift. A necklace of 10 mm creamy,  white and lustrous pearls for only £85!

Top 5 Pearl Earrings in 2015

3rd January 2016 by PearlsbyFleur Leave a Comment

We thought we would share our top 5 best selling pearl earrings in 2015.

Pearl Earrings -Timeless Appeal

Pearl earrings are always the ultimate finishing touch to any outfit for any glamorous lady. They have timeless, global appeal primarily due to their beauty and organic nature. However, the versatility of pearl earrings always makes them  appropriate- whatever the occasion. Our customers range from the youngster buying her first pair of pearls to the more mature 85 year old glamorous great grandmother. The way pearls are formed (either naturally or cultured) is totally unique and that makes them very special to admire and to wear.

In Ancient Rome pearls were a symbol of great wealth and position in society. Over time and since the introduction of the pearl cultivation process in Japan by Mikimoto, pearls are now readily available and accessible to all.

Who doesn’t love a pearl earring? The Queen is never seen without her classic pearl studs (and classic string) and a whole host of A listers are loving these beautiful, lustrous little gems. Our customers at Pearls By Fleur are great lovers of the pearl and here are our top 5 pearl earrings of 2015. And some of those that made it into our top 5 may surprise you …..

Number 5 in our Best Selling Pearl Earring for 2015

In at number 5 is our Unity Charlotte Fair trade  pearl drop earrings. With the aim of reducing poverty and helping grow long term partnerships to enable these developing countries to grow. They are able to make their own decisions, set their own prices and create fair working conditions for their workers. By supporting fair trade, we, as consumers are actually having an impact on the lives of these suppliers. We can help to make their future rosier.

Number 4 – Lucy Q Pearl Hug Stud Earring in rose gold vermeil.

If there is a reason to sparkle it is to a party. Deck yourself in twinkly icicle cubic zirconia and dangly pearls! I have been wearing the Beatriz pearl dangly earrings to virtually every party this festive season. They work really well with velvet, your lace party dress or a little black jumpsuit.

4.  Add Inexpensive Pearl Jewellery!

Who said pearls have to be expensive! Freshwater pearls are cultured primarily in China and are as a result the price has come down from even 5-10 years ago. Culturing techniques have improved and the quality of a reasonably priced string of pearls are continuing to increase!  Pearls can be expensive, but it is possible to buy a lovely string of freshwater pearls for £80-100 . We have our gorgeous Kelly pearl necklace and it is totally affordable!

Truth is I love the start of the year as I look forward to Spring – it means daffodils, flowers and the very best of nature! All things beautiful and pretty- and this is the same with pearl jewellery. What’s more our drab, dark wardrobe turns into feminine girlie colours . The ideal accessory is a versatile pearl necklace or earrings with a nature inspired design. Our silver leaf pearl designs are too cute to resist!

Pearl Bracelets- 5 Top Trends for Spring/Summer 2016

16th December 2015 by PearlsbyFleur Leave a Comment

After what feels like an ice age, where jewellery and pearls  has frozen in time- new pearl trends and in particular new pearl bracelets trends are filtering in for next season. Things have looked really hot for pearls on the catwalks of Paris and New York earlier in the year and now they are on the high street. There are different styles to suit everyone. For back to nature fans there is an abundance of fresh floral designs and for the minimalists, there’s plenty of clean lines and modern elements with pearl bracelets. Pearl bracelets are always the ultimate finishing touch to add kudos to your outfit. With sleeve length rising as the weather temperature rises , it’s always good to think about showing off a little wrist. This season there is something for everyone. Here is a tantalising taste of what’s to come…..

  1. Layering Your Pearl Bracelets

Pearl bracelets that layer beautifully are always guaranteed to bring you style kudos. Whether you choose a slim  torque with lustrous pearls or a stack of 8 stretchy pearl bracelets, you can be sure that your style credentials will go racing thorough the roof. Perfect for your summer holidays ahead to wear with your holiday evening dress.

2. Nature Inspired Pearls

Nature is the most talented artist and never ceases to create or inspire us. Bearing this in mind, we can expect many more sparkling, ocean-inspired pearl designs to enrich the existing collections in the years to come.

Since pearls are directly linked to the underwater world, they often appear in sea-inspired jewels. You will see some large baroque pearls set in the heart of the striking bejewelled fish by the Russian designer Ekaterina Kostrigina or the Australian brand Autore. Their jewels were based on the unevenly-shaped pearls themselves, while  the cuff bracelet by Shawish, (below) features perfectly shaped golden and pinkish pearls, are quite the opposite – the pearls were selected to match the design.

Spring is always a time for fresh,  floral inspired designs. Pearls work really well with flowers and leaves. Wear with a simple, pretty dress for maximum effect.   And for Parisian chic add a scarf knotted around your neck for extra glam. If you want a boho inspired dress go to free people for the ultimate boho dress.

3. Bauble Size Pearls

The bauble  pearl bracelets seen at Victoria Beckham were earth toned in colour, with one especially appearing to be grapes turned into pearls set against a green background that is reminiscent of a leaf.

4. Romantic Designs

Replace your Autumn/winter bold accessories with some ladylike elegance! Are you a romantic? The romance makes its way from the catwalk to the wrist! Choose a perfectly prim pearl bracelet and let the lustrous pearls do the talking.  There are lots of  choices in either rose gold, silver, cubic zirconia or a slinky pearl bracelet. This elegant, luxuroius pearl bracelet is by Lucy Q and here the lustrous pearls are protected in a delicate, cage -like design.

5.  Ultra Modern Pearls

Go modern- arm yourself with a pearl bracelet that complements your style. If you take a clean, minimal approach to your styling, forget decorative details and choose a sleek pearl torque or bangle. Be sure to show off your wrists. Buy from Cos or Zara if you love this minimal look.

Below is a beautiful example of a sleek modern design from international designer, Martha Seely. Unity is a fusion of sumptuous elements and statement design. The pearl bangle is an interpretation of the forms and shapes found in nature through the clean, minimal design sensibilities of Martha’s Scandanavian heritage.

They are hip and look amazing when you wear 3 0r 4 together.  Oh and these are from our Unity Fair trade collection so you are supporting a good cause as well.  The beauty of the pearl is that is shows its’ versatility.
